Volunteering at the Garden of Peace
Alongside volunteers from the Nippon Club, Japan Society and Friends of the Japanese Garden of Peace, Takashi and Andrew supported by weeding and pruning at the garden in Hammersmith Park, established in 1910 for the Japan-Britain Exhibition. The gloomy weather was not enough to dampen spirits, aided in part by delicious bento lunches from Mugen. The day concluded with speeches from staff of the Embassy of Japan and Hammersmith and Fulham Council to congratulate the team.
